Welcome KES Kindergarten Families –

We are looking forward to seeing our newest “dolphins” in the big school very soon.    Please take a moment to view this short video I created for you.

Principal Tucker’s Welcome Video

Please be checking your emails as more important information is coming this week!

Wishing you well,

KES Families & Friends –

As promised we are sending a lot of information via email to prepare for school reopening.  Information/forms will continue to be added to our website and reminders on our Ketterlinus Elementary School PTO facebook page.

As a result of the pandemic, we cannot do our normal “Meet & Greet” and drop off medication.   We have a new process for parents to drop off the necessary forms and medication by setting up an appointment.   Face masks and health screening will be required when entering the building.

If possible we ask that you limit the number of people coming in for the appointment.  Ideally, one parent and the student.    If your child cannot attend, no worries.   But it is nice for Nurse Lindsay to put a face to the name when possible.  : )

Please sign up for a time to meet Nurse Lindsay Robertson using this link.    The process will take 15 minutes or less.

Attach are copies of the school medication policy and medical medication plan authorization forms for two of the most common needs – asthma and allergies.   All other medical medication plans (CF, Cardiac, Bleeding Disorder…) can be found on our school website under departments – health clinic.   A reminder that a doctor’s authorization (signature) is required for forms.   They can be faxed to 904-547-8554, Attention:  Nurse Lindsay Robertson

Welcome to Kindergarten at Ketterlinus Elementary School.

Our kindergarten team has created an on-line orientation to provide basic information about kindergarten.   Please take the time to review this on-line orientation as it will answer most questions. KES Kindergarten Orientation Video.ppsx

Later this week, your child should receive a US stamped letter regarding his/her staggered start date.   Details are in the letter.

KES Families & Friends –

First, let me apologize that there will be several emails coming in the next few weeks.   Please take a few minutes to review them.   Due to social distancing, much information is now being shared electronically.   We will post links on our school website as well.

Important documents to review and complete.

Online Free & Reduced Lunch Forms   *Even if you do not need or think you will qualify, please complete.  It could help our school with federal funding.

PayPams –   NEW!  A great way to prepay breakfast and lunches via online instead of sending cash/check.

Wish you well,
KES

It is finally here…

KES Supply List for 20-21.   We apologize for the delay.    Supply List 20.21.pdf

Every Friday will be School Spirit Day and we would like students to wear a KES t-shirt.   Information on purchasing will be made available soon from our PTO.

On the first Wednesday of each month is “Wear Your Words” t-shirt.   This is a day that we ask everyone to wear a t-shirt with a positive message and continue spreading the positive vibes in our great community.

Happy Thursday KES Families & Friends –

Attached are two important documents.   First, is the REVISED 20-21 School Year Calendar.  There are some changes to spring break as well as the last day of the school year.    Also, the district has created an excellent document for parents & the community – “Returning to School Learning Options & Safety Protocols”.

20-21 Master Calendar – Final color coded 7.30.20.pdf

Return to School Instructional Continuity Plan as of 7.30.20.pdf

On a side note, I want to personally thank our parents for taking the time to stay informed.   The reduction in calls has been a huge help as we continue to re-create our classes and schedules.    Thank you, thank you, and thank you!

If you have Facebook, our Ketterlinus Elementary School PTO page is an excellent source to get up to date information or “breaking news”.    Please consider, going to that page and following it.
